Curious to know the breakout of spending on weapons development, supply of arms, new and advanced systems, salaried to military members, contractors, amount of money going to the local economies of the 800 military bases, amount of money generated by those salaries to any economy, numbers of people employed. Could the US economy support the equivalent numbers of military, contractor jobs, the people employed by the private corporations fulfilling government contracts. It seems those expenditures are a huge boost to our economy as well as other world economies. Could the money be more wisely spent? Doubtful any would generate the multiplayers of the military budget. Hopefully a green new deal could compete and the world so much better as a result.
