This French ambassador speaks the truth... since he retired. When he was in office, he was a pro-American warmonger. He supported the destruction of Libya, encouraged the destruction of Syria and campaigned for France's reintegration into NATO's integrated command - a monumental folly. He is one of the cynical, false elites who set the house on fire and then, looking at the flames, give advice on how to put out the fire.

A bad guy, then.

Arand for Secretary of State. Bring some European maturity to our narcissistic world view.

As a U.S. citizen I am delighted that someone who has some standing from Europe speak out against the thuggish U.S. foreign policy. He is absolutely right - the U.S. "Rules-Based International Order" explicitly rejects international law. It is comprised of only "rule" - follow U.S. orders or the U;.S> will attack you. Now if the current leaders in Europe could grow spines and act in the interest of their respective countries instead of rolling over upon U.S. commands, there might be some hope for Europe. I am shocked by the cowardice of these "leaders" who have agreed to the illegal and foolish sanctions against Russia which is cutting off the Russian oil and gas so desperately needed by Europe. Their foolishness is destroying Europe's industries, thereby making Europe even more dependent on the U.S. I cannot imagine a group of leaders doing anything so stupid. The U.S. is a lawless rogue state. It is not a "dependable ally" for any country. Now the U.S. "leaders" are celebrating the crippling of Europe into a state of dependency, its leaders having destroyed any hope of self sufficiency. Unbelievable!
