I don't care what he said in 2021 it is now that is important.

IN Europe we do not want war....finish.

The Govt. here in France is not acting in our best interest.

First thing is to get shot of the USA on our territories and stop pretending that Russia is our enemy.

The enemy is the ability of the US to undermine any sovereign nation.

Does anyone stop to think what war in Europe would look like.......country against country/people who have been together are divided.

SO few people in the Governments understand the importance of what BRICS will do. When the dollar goes down so do we.

The EU has moral double standards? NO, say it ain't so! Borrel is not stupid, just without any wisdom. Certainly NOT a diplomat. He fits in well with the rest of EU plutocratic establishment. To be succeeded by rabid Russophobe Ms Kallas. Prediction: All the censorship and fascism of current EU cleptoctats will not save them from the wrath of European citizens once these wake up

Amazing what these idiots admit to after their retirement. A double standard is no standard . The West is corrupted by the edicts of a dying empire, a cabal of colonized corrupted losers. Unless they get their act together the West is headed for a very dark age as the rest of the world is busy building better futures working cooperatively.

Nothing happens in the West until there is a wholesale change in leadership and attitude that will be a long time coming.

The West is a casualty of too many ruinous ideologies starting with imperialism, neoliberalism, militarism, and a few more as they allowed democracy to be crushed out of existence. Where governments cease to be accountable and responsible chaos ensues.

Trump gets to rule the rump.

Double standards is nothing new to the Imperialists, this from 22 years ago!

"“The challenge to the post-modern world is to get used to the idea of double standards. Among ourselves, we operate on the basis of laws and open cooperative security. But when dealing with more old-fashioned kinds of states outside the post-modern continent of Europe, we need to revert to the rougher methods of an earlier era – force, pre-emptive attack, deception, whatever is necessary to deal with those who still live in the nineteenth century world of every state for itself.

"Among ourselves, we keep the law but when we are operating in the jungle, we must also use the laws of the jungle…. What is needed then is a new kind of imperialism, one acceptable to a world of human rights and cosmopolitan values. We can already discern its outline: an imperialism which, like all imperialism, aims to bring order and organisation but which rests today on the voluntary principle.” - ' This article is more than 22 years old

No amount of money resources of technology can EVER "help the formerly colonized nations of the Global South transition away from fossil fuels" due to thermodynamics in particular the 40 times or so higher energy density of hydrocarbons c/w with the so called 'renewable' electricity generation machines, which can NOT be built with electricity.

In other words, since fossil fuels are getting harder to extract and are by definition finite, and since 8+billion humans rely on them, in a few generations there will be same number as humans as before we started using fossil fuels ~250 years ago, i.e. ~1billion.

It doesn't really matter what they say. The EU will be in the dustbin of history soon unless it stops isolating itself from the BRI and ceases to antagonise BRICS+
