This debacle is one of those few truly revelatory pressure points that demonstrate repeatedly and transparently how our elected officials as a bloc do not represent our interests as a bloc. They have abrogated their right to stop and start wars!
Well, they/we live in an oligarchy presently, correct? Not democracy. I think we aspire, rightly and justly, to democracy, but we have never yet made it to that peak. When we start to ask ourselves the difficult questions, and we reject the oligarchical impulse to censorship, and we struggle honestly and diligently with the answers we don’t want to hear (because there will be many!), we will arrive at a maturity as political subjects that may be a real point of departure to achieve the aspiration. Just saying.
I am not going to uncritically be West vs. Rest. Russia and China both have structural problems with how their governments work. However, I recognize that the US does not come into conflicts without copious amount of double-speak which obscure its oligarchic self-interest.

Quite a lot of blatant and aggressive greed, fear, and jealousy, going on at the “top” ( especially with the USA government and their oligarchy friends).
How the world’s political and economic “leadership” minds work is very telling of how undeveloped and primitive human intelligence still is.
I keep asking myself, how did we get such extremely criminal and delusional leadership in the world, with the United States at the the top of this pile of human greed and corrupt incompetence.
