The Pentagon admitted that a Chinese balloon that crossed into US territory in February was not spying; it was likely blown off course by wind. But the media milked the scandal for cold war propaganda
The really really ridiculous part of of this story is that the US has for decades held both Russia and China siege by surrounding them with missiles, spy aircraft and satellites.
Even if it isurreptitiously did, It would be understandable. How else can China counter the U.S. spy planes that fly close to the China coast and the spying Ships that navigate the Taiwan Straits and China Sea? One unmanned baloon against well manned and well equipped spy laboratories. is this a fair fight?
So the weather balloon was *not* spying?
Gee, never saw that coming. And I'm sure the NY Times is all over this, front page mea culpas, etc. /sarc

The desertification of the West is near complete.
So glad the "spy balloon" is no more. We can sleep well tonight knowing the propagandists have cleared that "problem" up. (Sheesh!)

I don’t listen to words from Milly. He knows good and well China needs to know what goes on in Gakona, Alaska and air over USA!
